neither are true microdermabriasions. they are just scrubbing systems. microderm is machine that has two circuits one for pressurizing the crystals onto the skin and one for sucking them back off. this stimulates the blood and lymph flow as well as gently removing the top layers of epidermis. the home systems are usually a manual or spinning brush with some type of abrasive material. what you have to be careful about is scrubbing too hard, you could abrade the surface of your skin making yourself more sensitive to UV and environmental factors. and more prone to dehydration.
as far as the Lancome one is concerned the C in it is vitamin C. vitamin C is an acid. it stops the pigmentation process inside the skin, as well as reduces fine lines (as long as the concentration percentage is high enough).
I would go with the Lancome just for the vitamin C. you will get better results.
But if you want great results… go professional and save your money and have a licensed therapist do it. they will be able to prescribe better products and after care. and they will not damage your skin.
