I have mild acne around my chin and cheek area. I also have a lot of scaring. I was wondering if dermabrasion will help or just make my acne worse. has anyone tried it?

I used dermabrasion in high school. It definitely got rid of all the scarring i had from acne in middle school. It doesn’t feel that good to get it done, and your face is red for a day afterwards, but the results are phenomenal.

I have tried it and it made my skin so much healthier. I did it for acne scars as well. I did not seem to notice it make my acne worse, but I was not really suffering from break outs at the time of my treatments. Be prepared to spend about $600 because you need several treatments to notice a significant difference.
I was reading on Web MD last night about dermabrasion. Apparently it works alright, but you can not treat active acne skin. Check it out on web MD,but a dermatologist would be the best one to ask.
Dermabrasion is a pretty rough procedure and I wouldn’t risk it. Microdermabrasion is much less invasive and will help with the scaring as well as helping clean out the pores.
