I agree with jrg305. My diet is also excellent. No soda, no fast foods, fried foods, white flour etc. I consume a superfood shake in the morning, eggs, wild caught fish, greens, fruits, nuts, lots of water, tea, and my sugar intake is less than 15 grams per day.
I’ve had back acne since a being a teenager. It goes away for the most part and comes in the hotter months. When I lived up north, I didn’t struggle with it at all. Then during the summers, it flares up like I”m a teenager. I’m getting my masters and registered dietitian credential, so I must say that my perfect diet (Yea I’m a psycho disciplinarian with it) is not the cause of my back acne. I’m leaning more toward my constant sweat patterns and not washing sheets nightly…
I got a question for you all here. I was in a hospital for a week because I had a surgery. After getting home I noticed that my back had no acne what so ever. I did have it before the hospital and now I have it again. What could have influenced it? I mean, in the hospital I couldnt wash my self. I had lay down for 5 days. (on my back only)
Keeley, are you even an MD?? You’re presentation was ridiculous to say the least!
My fiancee suffers from back acne and its not because she eats fried foods, refined sugars and flours! She’s a vegetarian! And eats organic foods only and no desserts!! She’s been eating a healthy diet for the past 12 years! And she suffers from back acne. There’s nothing more she could be doing diet wise to clear up her back acne. Your presentation was disingenuous to say the least.
Thank you so much, perfect! perfect! just perfect!
Simple and quick exactly what i wanted.
my bf has tons of acne on his back.. And its bugging me off whenever we makeout.:-( some say this is genetic…

Try Neem, it works really good on Acne and clearing up the skin.
Dirt and sweat do NOT cause acne. Pores don’t clog from the top down; they collapse on themselves.
I know what you mean, a friend of mine has this severe cystic back acne. But he doesn;t start a diet, he weights 130 Kgs, he eats every junk food he sees in front of him, at the fast foods. Unfortunately the diet is an other factor.
I don’t think so, but if you sweat during your sleep, you have to change the sheets in a regular daily basis, and take showers. A foam bath which is “soapy” and dries the skin helps. I had acne as a young, fortunately when I reached 30 years it stopped. But a friend of mine who is 32 has severe back acne.
One reason is the male hormones, testosterone and other androgen hormones, an other is the genes (DNA), the environment (much dust etc). The skin pores produce much oil which can not drain to the skins’ surface, if the pores are closed by dust or dirt, so the oil remains inside the pores anc cause inflections. One has to wash his skin often, to keep it as clean and “dry”, avoid oily food, drink much water. When one grows old after 40 years, his male hormones reduce, and so the acne stops.
really didnt know that i have been doing that too
does sleeping late also causes acne?I sleep around 1-3 am and wakes up around 10-11:30 am.I always got around 7-9 hours of sleep.

I think tht back acne is genetic. My mom NEVER had back or chest acne… But my dad did, sadly coauseong me to have it. But it’s clearing up very goodly with this DERMIToLIGIST cream (and pill, dnt ask how the pill helps it just does),
actually she stated in the video that dairy products can cause acne, and benzoyl peroxide dries your skin. so derms don’t know everything, but they do know more than you.
I have been dealing with cystic acne for years. I used to treat it with retin-a, which worked fine for a while, but later no longer seemed effiective. i did some research, and discovered that dairy is sometimes a cause of severe acne. i eliminated it, and i’m clear for the most part on my face wtih a combo of very little dairy and benzoyl peroxide twice a day. (except for an occasional minor spot.) what i’m saying is, i had to clear it myself…derms don’t always know everything.
I want somone to tell me the real causes of acne. Because i am sick of hearing professionals who have never had a spot in their life tell me what they think causes it. I fimly believe that scientists are yet to discover the real cause of acne. The outdated myths about diet, washing and toxins will simply not cut it anymore. I’m afraid to say it, but at the minute professionals like the women in this video are just guessing at the answers.
The point is this; 1. We all sweat (some of us in our sleep) so you cannot prevent sweat related acne breakouts. 2. We all have to wash our hair. If this was a major cause then we would all have back acne. (Even though most people wash the dirt out of their hair over their face) 3. Toxin bulid up is more likely to cause acne on the face rather than the back. Many people who have back acne do not have acne on their face meaning that toxin build up is probably not a major factor.
